About Andrea
Andrea has dedicated more than four decades of her professional life to strengthening German-American relations. A committed bridge-builder, she has played a key role in fostering cooperation between the German and American communities in Kaiserslautern and throughout Rheinland-Pfalz, contributing to a relationship built on partnership, trust, and mutual understanding.
Andrea began her career as a U.S. Air Force contracting officer, where she combined professional expertise with a strong commitment to communication and relationship-building. In 2000, she brought this experience to the City of Kaiserslautern, serving as its U.S. Liaison and working closely with U.S. Air Force and Army communities across Rheinland-Pfalz.
Throughout her career, Andrea has helped strengthen connections between local German communities, U.S. military leadership, service members, families, and partner organizations. Her extensive experience and longstanding commitment to transatlantic relations continue to guide her work today.
Following her retirement, Andrea chose to continue this commitment through her voluntary role as Chairwoman of the Board of USO Deutschland e.V. In this capacity, she supports fundraising and engagement efforts that help further the USO mission of supporting U.S. service members and their families in Germany.
German-American relations have been near and dear to me throughout my life and have shaped more than 40 years of my professional career. Working as a bridge-builder, particularly within the German American and international community, has been both enriching and rewarding.
Retirement has not changed that commitment. Through my role as Chairwoman of USO Deutschland e.V., I want to continue supporting the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families while fostering the transatlantic relationships that bring our communities together.
